What is Elos?

Elos is a video conferencing tool that works completely online and does not require any type of installation, just have an internet connection and you can use it from anywhere in the world and from any device.

How to use Elos?

Can I access a conference from my cell phone or tablet?

Yes, the platform is completely online, and you can access it on any device that has a browser. Check the technical requirements clicking here.

Can I use any camera with the platform?

Any camera or webcam that you connect to your computer and is detected by your operating system will be supported by Elos, including those already included in notebooks.
For convenience, many users tend to use webcams with a USB connection, which have sufficient quality for transmission and are easy to connect and configure on the system. On mobile devices (cell phones and tablets) you can use both the front camera and the rear camera of the device.

What are the technical requirements for using Elos?

In order for you to correctly use Elos' functionalities, it is ideal that your device meets the minimum technical requirements below:

  • It is recommended to use a computer with at least Quad Core processing (a processor with 4 cores) and 6GB of RAM memory;
  • The user must use the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers, updated to the latest available version, to access the platform, both from a computer and from their Android device (version 4.0 or higher);
  • On your iOS mobile device (version 12.2 or higher), the user must use the Safari browser, updated to the latest version available;
  • A broadband network connection with a dedicated capacity of 5 Mbps for download and 2 Mbps for upload is recommended;

Elos is not compatible with Internet Explorer, or browsers other than those mentioned above.

Can I configure Elos to consume less data during a video conference?

Yes, if you are having connection problems or are using a mobile network and want to save data, you can activate Data Saving mode. To find out how, visit our Help Center clicking here.

Accounts

Do all conference participants need to have an Elos account?

No. Only the owner of the video conference room needs to have an account, others can join the meeting using the “guest” option.

How do I create my account?

Signature

Who can subscribe to Elos?

Anyone can subscribe to Elos, anywhere in the world. Elos adapts to educational institutions, companies, technology providers, language schools, hospitals, clinics, among others. If you need something that you can't find, contact us and we will assist you.

How is it charged?

Elos is post-paid and single users who access its conferences throughout the month are charged. Unique user is the person who has made at least one access. This same person can make numerous accesses during the same month and will be counted as just a single user.

Furthermore, you can test all Elos features before subscribing, just use the Free plan.

Are there discounts?

Yes. If you have a lot of unique users in a month, these are the current discount ranges:

  • Above 250 unique users: 10% discount;
  • Above 500 unique users: 20% discount;
  • Over 1000 unique users: 30% discount;
  • Above 2500 unique users: 40% discount;
  • Above 5000 unique users: 50% discount.

We also occasionally release promotional codes that can be used when subscribing.

What features does the Premium plan give me access to?

By subscribing to the Premium plan, see what you will be entitled to:

  • Video conferences with up to 100 people connected
  • Possibility to record as many conferences as you want
  • Easy integration with other tools (such as Moodle, Canvas, WordPress and others)
  • Usage reports with detailed data on all your meetings (number of meetings, number of users, duration of conferences, total recordings, and much more)
  • With the integration, you can create as many rooms as you want

Limits

Is there a time limit on conferences?

There is no time limit per session in any of our plans, you can hold your conferences for as long as you feel necessary.

Is there a limit on the number of meetings?

No, you can have as many meetings as you want during the month. You can even hold more than one meeting per day.

Is there a limit on the number of users per month?

There is no limit on the number of users who can access the tool. Rooms have limitations according to the plan. Check it out here.

Is there a user limit per conference?

No plano gratuito, o limite é de 4 pessoas, no plano Premium o limite é de 100 pessoas por sala.

Recordings

Is it possible to record conferences?

Sim, o Elos permite a gravação das conferências. Tanto no plano gratuito quanto no plano Premium você tem direito a gravar quantas conferências quiser.

What is recorded in a conference?

Participants' videos and audios, shared documents, screen sharing and public chat are recorded.

How long are recordings available?

As gravações de usuários do plano gratuito são armazenadas por uma semana, já as gravações de usuários premium, são armazenadas por 6 meses a partir da sua data de criação.

What can I do with the recordings?

While they are available, you can view them online or even download the recording in video format.

Integration and Customization

Can I integrate Elos with other systems?

Yes, you can integrate Elos with other systems. Check out the full list or contact us if you haven't found what you need.

How much does integration cost?

Integration has no additional costs, you just need to be a Premium user.

What is customization?

Customization allows you to make your conference room your own. It is part of the Premium plan.

What can be customized?

Elos allows you to customize:

  • The presentation that appears at the beginning of the conference
  • Audio and video permissions
  • Use or not of chat in the conference
  • Room name
  • Video conference link

Data

What personal data do you have?

Your name, email and login are registered in our database, but are not sold to third parties. Your password is protected by encryption, and no one but you knows it (unless you tell them). In the case of subscribers, we also have your CPF/CNPJ and your/your company's address. All this data can be modified or deleted at any time, and is in accordance with the Data Protection Law.

What information about the conference?

We have access to your use of Elos, such as the times the conference is held, who participates, duration, etc. All this data is collected for your monthly report. We also have access to the most used features and what the problems are during the conference. For none of these data your content is accessed. All of them are collected using metrics.

What's in the monthly reports?

The reports show data from conferences that were held at Elos, such as:

  • Graph of users per day, highlighting new users
  • Total hits in the month
  • Total unique users in the month
  • Maximum simultaneous accesses
  • Maximum users in a conference
  • Maximum simultaneous rooms
  • Total rooms used
  • Total conferences held
  • Total hours in conferences
  • Maximum hours in a conference
  • Total recordings made
  • Total hours recorded
  • Only actual meetings are counted. Test meetings do not appear in the report.

 

What are test meetings?

We consider test meetings to be those made to see the room, these are the meetings that are considered this way to avoid charges for meetings and accesses made just to test the tool. Our algorithm eliminates meetings shorter than 30 minutes with just one participant and that were not recorded. These meetings are disregarded, will not appear in reports and will not be charged. Any meeting that is recorded; that lasts more than 30 minutes; or that has more than one participant will be considered, will appear in the reports and will be charged.

Cancellation Policy

What happens when I cancel my account?

Account cancellation is immediate and irreversible. When canceling your account, you will no longer be able to hold any video conferences, nor access your recordings, usage reports. If you have other portals integrated with Elos, they will also lose access, meaning they will not be able to create conferences or recordings. If you are Premium, you will need to cancel your subscription before deleting your account.

How do I cancel my subscription?
