Born in 2010 as a research project at the Federal University of RS, Mconf became a startup in 2013 due to positive results. We expanded our products and markets, launching Elos, focused on education, in 2018. As a university company, our DNA includes commitment, innovation and security.
These values are reflected in our culture, which has evolved significantly, leading to our recognition as a Great Place to Work in 2021. Our goal is to provide opportunities, develop professional excellence and create a welcoming and valued environment.

BigBlueButton is an open source video conferencing software focused on education.
Based in Canada, it has the largest open source web conferencing community in the world. Mconf, in addition to basing its products on this code, has actively contributed to the development of the software for over 10 years. In fact, 02 of the 10 Core Comitters of the global community are from Mconf (Felipe Cecagno and Paulo Lanzarin).

Mconf's organizational culture, rooted in a Public University, has evolved naturally. We value collaborative work, autonomy, respect, and seek to generate positive impact through transparent, caring and mutually growing relationships. Here, everything is done with depth.
Furthermore, diversity, equity and inclusion are what unite us. In 2022, we started a project to awareness and inclusion of social issues in our culture. Although this is just the beginning, we oppose any hate speech, we value plurality and we seek awareness.
